The toolbox on the left of the screen the first time you start the application. You can move the toolbox by dragging the title bar. You can also show or hide the toolbox by choosing Window> Tools.

Some tools in the toolbox have options displayed in the tool options bar context sensitive. These include the tools that allow you to insert text, select, paint, draw, sample, edit, move, record and view images. Other tools in the toolbox allow you to change foreground and background colors, go to Adobe Online, work in different modes and switch between Photoshop and ImageReady.

can expand some tools to see which contain hidden. A small triangle in the lower right side of the tool icon indicates the presence hidden tools.

To see information about a tool simply position the pointer over it. In tooltips shown under the pointer is the name of the tool. In some cases, the tooltip contains links to more information about the tool.
